Week 5 Cady - Blackaviced
Blackaviced:
adj. dark complexioned, swarthy
“...would advise her blackaviced suitor to look out: if another comes, with a longer or clearer rent-roll,—he’s dished—” (Bronte 305). This is from the book Jane Eyre.
I chose this word this week because a synonym of it, swarthy, which is used in the definition also, was a word that I found for a previous vocab week. I find interesting the fact that two of words that I found meant the same thing. It seems rather unlikely as I am taking these words from a whole novel and I just happen to choose these two.
