“Maduro has accused Colombian President Ivan Duque of training thousands of mercenaries in preparation to invade Venezuela.”

I found this word while reading an article on the Daily Mail website. I have heard the word mercenaries before and knew they had something to do with helping foreign countries, but after finding the definition I realized they were soldiers.
