Week 7 Davighi "Innuendo"

Innuendo: (n) an allusive or oblique remark or hint, typically a suggestive or disparaging one

Great Gatsby Quote: “The bar is in full swing, and floating rounds of cocktails permeate the garden outside, until the air is alive with chatter and laughter, and casual innuendo and introductions forgotten on the spot, and enthusiastic meetings between women who never knew each other's names.” (40)

I chose this word because I really didn't understand what it meant and I thought it was very necessary to know what it meant, to be able to comprehend what this passage was explaining about the house of Great Gatsby, since it is full of detail. The reader should be able to visualize it very clearly, and to do so, needs to understand every word of the passage.
