Week 8 Ozarkar "Wan"
Wan:
(adj) (of a person's complexion or appearance) pale and giving the impression of illness or exhaustion. “Her gray sun-strained eyes looked back at me with polite reciprocal curiosity out of a wan, charming, discontented face.” The Great Gatsby
When I saw this word in the book I had no clue as to what it could mean. I had never seen this word before, and I was super confused as to what it could mean. When I searched up what it meant, it helped to make the sentence make more sense, and I was able to understand more about the character. I found it interesting that one word could change the whole meaning of a sentence.
